Ocean Safety Rescues Swimmer Off of Magic Island

Honolulu Ocean Safety responded to an unresponsive swimmer today just before 10:00am off of Magic Island in the area of Ala Moana Beach Park. Lifeguards responded via jet ski and rescue paddle board and brought the woman, believed to be in her 40s, to shore. Onshore, Ocean Safety performed cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the woman regained a pulse. A private ambulance service responded and treated and transported the woman in critical condition to an area emergency room.
